Announcements
An announcement is a short message to everyone in the studio — "closed 24–26 December", "new studio keys from Monday", "please tag your RAWs before Friday". It appears inside the notification bell for every team member, alongside their own notifications, until it expires or you take it down.
Posting one
Owners and Admins only.
- Click the bell in the top bar.
- Click Announce.
- Type the message.
- Optionally set Expires (optional) — the announcement hides itself after that day.
- Click Post.
That's the whole form: a message and an expiry date. There is no title and no on/off switch — an announcement is live the moment you post it.
Because there's no separate headline, write the message so the first few words say what it's about. "Studio closed 24–26 December" reads better in a list than "Please note that the studio will be closed…".
What the team sees
Announcements appear at the top of the notification panel, marked with a megaphone, with how long ago they were posted. Everyone in the studio sees them — they aren't per-person like the rest of the bell's contents.
Taking one down
Open the bell and click the ✕ on the announcement. Owners and Admins only; other team members see the announcement but no ✕.
An announcement with an expiry date takes itself down on that day, so you don't have to remember.
The notification bell
The same bell also carries your own notifications — a task assigned to you, an invoice gone overdue, an @-mention. Click one to go straight to the thing it's about.
- Mark all read clears the unread dots.
- Delete all removes them. It asks first, and it can't be undone.
Those notifications are yours alone. An announcement is the studio's.
Which events reach you, and whether they also arrive as a push on your phone, is in Settings → Application Preferences → Notifications.
